CAN'T SEE THE ROLE FOR YOU?

We know that the right people can make a huge difference to our organisation. So if you're keen to join our team, we are always ready to hear from people who share our passion.

BECOMING PART OF OUR TEAM

Take the first step in making a real difference to your career and hit apply! We’d love to get to know you better, so follow the steps in our application process, attach your CV and a cover letter that lets us know the real you.

So we’ve read your resume and we love what we see. Now keep an eye on your phone because we’ll be ringing to find out more. This is also a great opportunity to ask us about any burning questions about the role – or anything really! Once we’ve reviewed all the candidates, and if we feel you’d be a great fit, we’ll get in touch to arrange a face-to-face meeting – we love this part of the process!

As much as we’d love for every candidate to be successful, it’s not always the case. But don’t worry, we’ll still give you a call and offer some feedback to help you nail it if you decide to apply again. And if you’ve wowed us with the right impression and shared your passion for joining our team, you can expect a short call and a handshake!

Congratulations! Now all that’s left to do is fill out some paperwork and you’ll officially be part of team MSWA. Keep an eye out for an email with all the details for your first day and what your first week will look like. And in case you have a few last minute questions, your manager will give you a bell before you start.

TIPS FROM THE TEAM

Tip 4

TIP 1

You probably already know a little about who we are and what we do, but if you really want to wow us in your interview, a little homework goes a long way! So have a browse around our site, get familiar with our Purpose, Vision and Values, and scrub up on how what we do makes a real difference in the lives of so many people.

TIP 2

Interviews are a chance for us to get to know you better. They’re not a memory test, so feel free to make some notes about how you can meet the ‘must haves’ and ‘nice to haves’, as well as a few examples of how you’ve performed tasks in similar roles. Remember to bring you notes with you – it’ll take some of the pressure off!

TIP 3

We hold our values close to our heart, so make sure you’ve taken some time to reflect on our Purpose, Vision and Values. People who really thrive with us often find that they just naturally relate to our ethos.

TIP 4

Have some questions ready for us! We’ve prepared our questions, so we expect to be quizzed as well! We love sharing info about MSWA and want to make sure you have everything you need to know before (if all goes to plan) you accept our offer!

Do I need any licences, checks or qualifications to apply?

We are proud of our reputation for quality across all areas of the business. So yes, you will need licences, checks and qualifications (depending on the role).

Some roles will require professional qualifications (such as a university degree) and membership to a professional body (such as the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency for our nursing and Allied Health roles).

For most of our roles, to work at MSWA we’ll need to see:

  • NDIS Worker Screening check
  • National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
  • WA Driver’s licence

We’ll always let you know what you need when you apply and, in some cases, can provide you with assistance.

Do I need experience to work at MSWA?

Well, that depends on the role you’re interested in applying for! We’ll always make it clear with the roles we advertise.

We have some roles that are considered entry or beginner, requiring minimal direct experience. These may even help get you onto a path to those more senior roles requiring experience. We can also provide financial assistance for some qualifications and courses.

If you’re talented and motivated, we look forward to discussing how MSWA can assist in your career!

Tell me more about your flexible working arrangements!

Sure thing! Supporting our team members’ work-life balance is important to us. We start with understanding what you’re looking for with respect to flexibility (after all, it can look different for different people) and how we may be able to make that work for both of us.

There are a number of options, depending on the nature of the role and what may suit you. So basically, let us know what you’re thinking and we’ll see how we can make it work!
