Am I eligible for the NDIS?

You are eligible to apply for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) if you:

Are under 65 years of age

Have an impairment or condition that is permanent

Are an Australian citizen or resident or permanent visa holder

Do I need an NDIS Plan?

Ask yourself the following questions to determine if you need an NDIS plan.

  • Does your condition affect your ability to take part in activities around the home?
  • Does your condition impact your mobility? (strength, balance, ability to walk)
  • Can you think of any support that could make your life easier?
  • Do you need support now to reduce your support needs in the future?

Who decides if I can access the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) runs the NDIS and are responsible for assessing each individual's application. MSWA can work with the NDIA on your behalf to process all your paperwork and advocate for all the supports you need.

What if I'm not eligible for the NDIS?

MSWA will continue to work with you to identify the best service options available to your specific needs.
