What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way disability services across Australia are funded. This scheme is the first time that people living with a disability are seen as individuals. People living with disabilities are provided access to funding with the aim of supporting them to live with independence and participate in social activities and employment.

To qualify for the NDIS you must be under 65 years of age at the time of applying, have an impairment or condition that is likely to be permanent, and which substantially reduces your ability to participate effectively in activities. Certain residency requirements also apply.

If you are over 65 years of age, you may be eligible for a Home Care Package.

The NDIS rollout in WA

The NDIS has now completed its roll-out across Western Australia. Everyone who is eligible can apply for NDIS funding and we encourage you to contact us to start the planning process.

How can the NDIS help me?

The NDIS provides funding for personalised services and support to help people with disabilities, their families and carers. If you are approved as an NDIS participant, you will receive a plan and individualised funding that is designed to support your active participation.

If you are living with a neurological condition, as a registered NDIS service provider, MSWA is experienced and resourced to deliver personalised services and support to meet your needs.
