MSWA Counselling is a confidential and supportive process where qualified neuro-informed counsellors collaborate with Clients to enhance their mental health and wellbeing, address personal concerns and develop coping strategies.

MSWA’s Counselling services provide a supportive, confidential and non-judgemental space to talk through concerns and explore ways to navigate life’s challenges. Our Counsellors are accredited and experienced in working with people living with neurological conditions. They offer personalised support for individuals, couples and families - whether that means brief, focused sessions or longer-term therapy.

Counselling for people living with a diagnosed neurological condition

Do you offer telehealth counselling for people with multiple sclerosis (MS)?

Yes, MSWA offer telehealth counselling for people living with MS.

Can Parkinson's disease cause depression?

Depression is a common non-motor symptom of Parkinson's disease. Depression in individuals with Parkinson's can result from chemical changes in the brain caused by the condition. However, it can also stem from the emotional impact of living with a progressive neurological condition and its associated challenges. 

While common, depression and poor mental health should not be left untreated, while common in Parkinson's disease, it is often overlooked and undertreated. Support is available and can enhance your quality of life.

Can a stroke cause depression?

Depression is a common effect of stroke and is caused by biochemical changes in the brain as well as the emotional consequences of living with a neurological condition. Support is available to treat depression, which in turn can help improve your quality of life.
