MSWA supports Huntington’s community

16 August 2019

Thanks to the support of our fundraisers who participated in MSWA Ocean Ride and Step Up for MSWA last year, MSWA has been able to purchase several pieces of new equipment for the Neurosciences Unit (NSU) at Graylands Hospital.

The new equipment, which includes modified mealtime equipment, utility chairs and iPads, will be used, and trialled, by patients with Huntington’s Disease as they attend their outpatient appointments and have assessments.

NSU Director Rachel Zombor said that Huntington’s patients, as well as their families and carers, on a State-wide level will benefit from the use of the new equipment.

“The equipment will be used by NSU clinicians to provide services both in the clinic and in-home,” said Rachel.

“We would like to thank MSWA for the kindness and generosity shown by this donation.”

Thanks to the support of our fundraisers, MSWA can continue to support Western Australians living with a neurological condition in this way.
