Going the distance for MSWA

2022 MSWA Ocean Ride

An incredible 2,100 cyclists came together to fundraise more than $400,000 for people living with neurological conditions as part of the 2022 MSWA Ocean Ride - Powered by RetraVision, in November.

As our riders can attest, the weather was glorious and the head winds weren't too strong - a welcome relief for those brave participants undertaking the longer ride distances.

From seasoned cyclists taking on the 140km EPIC Challenge, joy riders spending a day out with family and right through to beginners trying something new, all were united in supporting the MSWA cause.

Once again we had a strong show of support from long-time corporate supporters, including Retravision, APA, Wood, GR Engineering and Radlink, who were all represented during their rides.

We also acknowledge our 2022 sponsors RetraVision, Road Safety Commission, City of Joondalup and Harcourts Foundation for making this event possible. It was also great to see MSWA staff members, like our Chief Executive Officer Melanie Kiely, Chief Marketing Officer Tony Millar and MSWA Board President Horst Bemmerl participating in the ride, and bringing their family and friends along for the fun too.

We extend our immense gratitude to our volunteers fulfilling an array of roles – from finish line cheerleaders to our critical road marshal positions, without which the event would not have been the success it was.

A great day was had by a community coming together for something bigger than themselves – to raise funds and awareness to make a tangible difference in the lives of those living with neurological conditions.

Our event photographers Nina Otranto and Adam Kenna captured all the action, view the whole gallery and see if if you were snapped here.
