MSWA Ambassador Josh Kennedy paying forward

07 April 2016

As part of a new AFL Players’ Association initiative, ‘AFL Players Care’, MSWA Ambassador Josh Kennedy and his West Coast Eagles team mates have donated $5,000 to MSWA. Under the initiative, AFL teams are allocated $10,000 to donate to one or two charity organisations of their choice. The Eagles have donated the other half of the funds to the Lord Mayor’s Distress Relief Fund to help Yarloop and Waroona residents affected by January’s devastating bushfire.

Josh was on hand to present MSWA CEO, Marcus Stafford with the $5,000 cheque earlier this week. He explained that team mate Luke Shuey was the driving force behind MSWA being chosen as one of the charity organisations that the Eagles contribution went to.

MSWA greatly appreciates the support of Josh, the West Coast Eagles and the AFL Players’ Association. This money will go towards funding the wide-range of support and services provided to Western Australians living with MS and other neurological conditions.
