Hundreds climb Perth’s tallest building for MS
2024 MSWA Step Up
On Sunday 23 June 2024, MSWA Step Up celebrated its 17th year, solidifying its place as an iconic WA fundraiser that encourages the community to push their limits and climb Perth’s tallest building – Central Park Towers - all in support of MSWA.
The day was marked by a fantastic atmosphere felt by all our participants, staff and volunteers! The event was further elevated by the attendance of World Champion Tower Runner, Wai Ching Soh – who flew in from Malaysia just to take part in the MSWA Step Up! This unique stair-climbing event continues to be a success, with 790 participants and over $128,000 fundraised.
Big props to our highest fundraising team ‘The Lunatics’, who raised a whopping $16,338, while the highest individual fundraiser was Hal Chambers, who raised an impressive $7,115. Our fastest climber was Wai Ching Soh with a record completion time of 5 minutes and 20 seconds. Claire Wardle was the fastest female, completing the climb in just over 8 minutes.
We would like to give a special mention to our very own MSWA team and our volunteers, who all committed to the early morning wake up! Our staff came together to form four different teams and collectively raised $4,885.
The event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, participants and volunteers, with a special thank you to Pharmacy 777, who donated an incredible $20,000 and is a long-time supporter of Central Park.

The 2024 MSWA Step Up brought us another year of laughs, inspiration, challenge and community spirit. We are grateful for the ongoing commitment to supporting the event and West Australians living with neurological conditions.
We thank all participants, volunteers and sponsors for making it such an incredible day and we hope to welcome each and every one of you back next year!
