Social welfare

If you’re living with a neurological condition, you may be entitled to various support and funding programs available to Western Australians. We can help you navigate the system to secure the support you need.

The social welfare system can be complicated to navigate – but you don’t have to do it on your own.

MSWA’s qualified Social Welfare Officers know their way around the various levels of government and non-government support systems.

Your MSWA Social Welfare Officer looks at how your neurological condition is impacting the physical, social, emotional, and financial aspects of your life and that of your primary carer.

Depending on your circumstances they may advocate, make referrals, attend meetings with relevant agencies with you, and generally help you access the supports to which you may be entitled to.

They can assist in sourcing appropriate support and funding for you to live as independently as possible in the community.
