Perth city-goers will find themselves face-to-face with a giant Snakes + Ladders board in the heart of the city this month, created by Rhonda who rebuilt her life after a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) led to early retirement. We are pleased to announce that the formal process of acquiring the assets of MS Society SA and NT (MS SANT) has been successfully completed. As of Tuesday, 18 November, MSWA and MS SANT is now officially operating as a singular entity. Read More.

In a global first, MSWA has announced a $1.75 million joint venture with the global tech startup accelerator Founders Factory, to fund and scale breakthrough technologies designed to transform the lives of people living with neurological conditions. Read More.

MSWA, supported by MS Australia, is stepping in to stabilise support and ensure continuity of care and support for people living with MS across South Australia and the Northern Territory. This follows the recent news that the MS Society SA & NT has entered voluntary administration. Read more.

MSWA and the Perth Wildcats are proud to announce the renewal of their partnership for a second consecutive year, bringing together the two iconic Western Australian organisations, united by a shared commitment to community, inclusion and making a meaningful difference. Western Australians are invited to witness a vibrant celebration of creativity and self-expression in Art Without Limits, an exhibition curated by MSWA showcasing the extraordinary talents of artists living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neurological conditions. This inspiring exhibition moves beyond the limitations of diagnosis to highlight the unique perspectives, skills, and passions of more than 50 artists from across the state. Read more

MSWA is excited to announce ahead of International Nurses Day (Monday, 12 May), the launch of WA’s first dedicated 24/7 neurological nursing service thanks to the generosity of the WA community. The NeuroConnect Nurse program will provide vital support to people living with complex and often unpredictable neurological conditions including multiple sclerosis, MND, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, stroke and acquired brain injury. Kylie Jones became the first-ever MSWA Client to win the Mega Home Lottery, bagging the $3.3 million Grand Prize Package, with her husband Brett. While the stunning City Beach home hit every point when it came to luxury, its standard layout didn’t cater for someone living with MS and posed significant challenges for Mrs Jones’ mobility. Mr Jones said that the lottery win gave them the freedom to create something truly life changing for Mrs Jones. Read more.

In MS Australia's latest $5.7 million research grant round, 35 new research initiatives will be funded focusing on advancing better treatments, prevention, and cures for MS. Thanks to the investment and support of MSWA, funded by the generosity of Western Australians, this will be MS Australia's largest ever research grant round. Read more.
