MSWA Neurological Care Accelerator
MSWA and Founders Factory have partnered to fast-track global startups developing innovations that transform care for people living with MS and other neurological conditions.
In partnership with Founders Factory, the MSWA Neurological Care Accelerator is a world-first initiative with inaugural investments amounting to $1.75M in five global health tech startups. These breakthrough startups are now accelerating AI, robotics, wearables and neuro science based solutions to significantly improve independence, rehabilitation and quality of life for people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
Founders Factory has applied their international acceleration model to support more than 450 startups globally. By combining this experience with our extensive clinical network and community reach, the program has made Western Australia a focal point for health technologies with global relevance and scale.
Ultimately, this program is designed to accelerate the development and adoption of cutting-edge technologies to reach the neurological community first here in Australia, and beyond.
This is a commitment that will ensure WA remains a nation leader in the field and support the wellbeing of all Western Australians.

Real world impact
MSWA Client Miles suffered a severe stroke in 2016, spending four months in Fiona Stanley Hospital and six months in a wheelchair – he knows firsthand how crucial early stroke intervention is.
If earlier detection like NeuroSonic’s had been available, my rehab might have been a completely different story. Knowing others could avoid going through what I did, that means everything.” - Miles.
For MSWA Client Elena, who lost her voice from motor neurone disease, she knows how important tone, inflection and the sound of her voice is for communication.
After trialling Fluent's innovative generative AI software, she's experiencing a new way to communicate that is faster, more natural and uniquely her own. The software listens to a conversation and suggests personalised responses, allowing users to select whole phrases rather than spell them out letter by letter.
