MSWA Membership

Thank you for your interest in renewing your membership, or becoming a member of MSWA. Please note that MSWA membership is a governance role, as outlined in our Constitution.
Members hold important responsibilities, including voting rights at Annual and Special General Meetings on key matters such as Board remuneration and constitutional amendments.
MSWA membership does not relate to the provision of services and support from our organisation. You do not require an MSWA membership to receive services or support from MSWA. If you are interested in our services, visit our support page.
The annual membership fee is $20.
Renewals must be completed by close of business, 30 June 2025.
Please refer to Part C - Members and Membership on page 2 of our Constitution for further detail.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I access support or services from MSWA if I am not an MSWA member?
Yes, of course! Membership is not at all related to service provision from MSWA.
If you are an existing Client with MSWA, your services will continue as usual, and you will still receive the Bulletin and invitations to Client events. You only need to renew your membership if you are interested in the governance of the organisation and wish to vote in our Special and Annual General Meetings, including on changes to the Constitution.
If you previously renewed membership thinking that this was a way to access our services, or were thinking of joining as a member in the hope of receiving services, please instead contact [email protected] to see how we can assist you.
What are my rights as an MSWA governance member?
Members hold important responsibilities, including voting rights at Annual and Special General Meetings on key matters such as Board remuneration and constitutional amendments.
In addition to the voting rights, each member has the right to receive notices of and to attend and be heard at any general meeting of the company.
If I am an MSWA Client and I don't continue my membership, will I still receive the Bulletin and receive invitations to events like the Client Forum?
As a Client of MSWA, regardless of membership status, you will continue to receive the Bulletin and invitations to our annual Client Forums; you do not need to re-register as a member to access these offerings.
I want to belong to the MSWA community, but I don’t want a governance role?
For those of you who do not wish to play a governance role, you do not need to renew your membership and pay the annual fee.
We do recognise however, that many Clients and organisations wish to contribute and participate in the MSWA community, albeit not in a governance capacity. If you wish to engage with MSWA in a way that contributes to, and benefits from, our community through opportunities to connect, events and offerings, we invite you to join our exciting new Neuro Collective program.
When can I renew my membership?
The deadline for membership renewal is close of business 30 June each year.
You can renew by completing the form below and quoting your current member number.
Memberships are valid for a full financial year, 1 July - 30 June inclusive.
