New MSWA CEO appointed
The Board of MSWA has announced that Melanie Kiely will replace Marcus Stafford AM, who steps down in October, as the new CEO.
Melanie Kiely is currently the CEO of Good Sammy Enterprises, a major organisation in Western Australia that supports people with disabilities to find meaningful employment opportunities and pathways.
Ms Kiely has a long and highly successful track record within consulting, Board and senior management positions. In addition to her roles in the not-for-profit sector, Ms Kiely also has experience in financial services and broader healthcare.
President of MSWA, Ros Harman said, “We are delighted to have secured Melanie Kiely as MSWA’s new CEO. We believe that both her values and experience are fully aligned to our mission and direction.”
Ms Kiely looks forward with confidence to her new role. “MSWA has become a leader within the disability sector and indeed within the not-for-profit community more broadly. It is an honour to take on this role and I look forward to working with the Board and the team to build on this success and celebrate the 50-year anniversary in 2022,” Ms Kiely said.
After a managed transition process, Ms Kiely will formally take up her role in early 2022.
