NCCP: A Year of Fun, Friendship, and Creativity
The Neurological Conditions Community Perth (NCCP) has celebrated another incredible year, bringing together individuals from all corners of Perth to share laughs, creativity, and connection. Thanks to the dedication of the admin team- Lauren (North East Perth), Catherine (South of the River), and Jodi, Jo, and Claire (North of the River)—2024 has been a year to remember.
Each month, the three groups meet at various cafes and pubs across the city, providing a welcoming space to forge lasting friendships. Whether over coffee or a casual drink, these meetups have become a cornerstone of the community, ensuring no one faces their journey alone.
Creativity takes center stage
Art enthusiasts were spoiled for choice this year, with five sell-out creative events that showcased the talents of the NCCP community. From watercolors to acrylics, collages, and crafts, each session was a hit. The art days were made even more memorable with an incredible lunch spread prepared by the team, adding a touch of culinary delight to the creative atmosphere.
A festive spirit
Christmas in July was a standout occasion, as always. The raffle prizes and festive spirit were a hit, but the highlight was Michelle, who once again claimed the “Best Dressed” prize with her jaw-dropping costume. Her creativity and flair truly set the bar for festive fun.
The December Christmas celebration was equally unforgettable. A lively quiz brought out everyone’s competitive spirit, with one table emerging victorious by a razor-thin margin of just half a point. Secret Santa gifts and plenty of cheer ensured everyone left feeling merry and bright.
Looking ahead to 2025
The NCCP is already making exciting plans for the new year, with more art sessions and a partnership with the Stirling Men’s Shed to deliver engaging workshops. With each passing year, the group continues to grow stronger, thanks to the unwavering commitment of the admin team and the shared mission to create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for all people with neurological conditions in Perth.
Here’s to another fantastic year of friendship, creativity, and community in 2025!
