MSWA on RTRFM for Disability Pride Month

MSWA Chief Experience Officer, Tony Millar was invited to share the MSWA and Founders Factory’s Neurological Care Accelerator, a world-first initiative designed to accelerate disability and neuro-health innovation, improving independence, rehabilitation and quality of life for people living with neurological conditions.

Women’s health needs have been overlooked and under researched for a long time. Factors critical to women with MS's health and quality of life particularly through their mid-years, remains largely unknown. 

In response to this need, the MS-AMY study was launched. PhD candidate and member of the team Dr Jessica Redmond shared more about about the study and how the findings will positively impact those living with MS.

In the final series, MSWA CEO Melanie Kiely shares about where we’re at in WA in regards to MS and other neurological conditions and their diagnoses, and the ongoing research into treating and preventing MS. Breakfast Host, Pam was later joined by Lauren McLennon, who has been living with an MS diagnosis for nine months, and MSWA Community Engagement Manager Emily Ace on finding community through this experience.
