Canning Show 2024: Celebrating Client art

Wilson Outreach Clients once again had the privilege of participating in Western Australia’s largest and most accessible exhibition, Canning Show. The event showcases a vibrant array of arts, crafts, hobbies, and creative works, highlighting the incredible artistic talents of the WA community. 

13 Client artists entered their pieces this year. Our Client artists were honoured to have received an invitation to the prestigious Exhibition Awards.

A special mention goes to Tony Villamagna, who won the 2024 People’s Choice Award in the Painting and Drawing category. This year’s theme celebrated the camelids — large, even toed mammals that include camels, alpacas, and llamas. His piece perfectly encapsulated the theme and won the hearts of attendees. Tony also won the Perpetual Champion Trophy for Best Exhibit in Painting and Drawing, along with the Champion Painting/Drawing Exhibit (Disability Section). His commendation was well-deserved!

All Client artworks from the Canning Art exhibition were also displayed at the Wilson Service Centre, inviting our community to enjoy the pieces.
