Butler Outreach is here to stay!
After a successful pilot program, the Outreach team is thrilled to announce that our service in Butler is now a permanent fixture at our northernmost service centre!
Butler Outreach already has a great group of regulars attending on Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9am and 1pm, and we can’t wait to welcome new faces who are interested in making friends, learning skills, having fun and becoming a part of the Butler neuro community.
Led by coordinator Lisa Driehuis, the team has been working with our Clients to put together an engaging program of activities and make the space their own. We are also expecting a visit from Bunnings in the near future to transform the courtyard into a peaceful garden space.
We also warmly welcomed cook Paul Bonner to the Butler Outreach Kitchen who has been serving up some amazing meals for lunch – check out the pics below! They certainly have us drooling.
So far, we have received amazing feedback on the benefit of this service. Client Debbie Evans states, it provides "essential social interaction, friendships and most importantly, the feeling of belonging."
In the month of November the group got crafty, making poppies in honour of Remembrance Day, created DIY easels for sale at our upcoming Christmas Markets (following the success of our wooden card holders we had fun engineering and decorating for the Spring Market in Wilson) and enjoyed a peaceful essential oil body scrub workshop.
If you are interested in joining our Butler Outreach group, or any of our Outreach locations, please get in touch with your Client Liaison Coordinator or alternatively send us an email at [email protected]. To make sure we are a good match, you are more than welcome to undertake a free trial before signing up for regular visits!
