This tailored training course is delivered by MSWA Certified Practising Speech Pathologists and is designed for care support workers and healthcare professionals. The course covers essential knowledge and practical skills related to dysphagia support, including:

Identifying Clients or patients who require dysphagia assessment and management.
Understanding safe swallowing practices, mealtime strategies, modified diets and fluids.
Recognising risks associated with dysphagia and referring to appropriate health practitioners.
This training incorporates the NDIS High Intensity Support Skills Descriptors for Dysphagia Support, and is appropriate for care support workers delivering high intensity dysphagic supports.

Participants will take a short quiz at the end of the course and receive a Certificate upon completion.
