Spotlight on the NDS Disability Support Awards
What an outstanding night for our teams at the 2026 WA Disability Support Awards!
In early May, members of the MSWA team and Clients attended the NDS Awards - an evening celebrating those who go above and beyond in delivering exceptional support and making a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with a disability. Everyone had a fantastic night and we're incredibly proud of our team, who empower people living with neurological conditions to live their version of best through their work every day.
Winner
Allied Health Professionals Award
Bradley Pang – MSWA Speech Pathologist
We are very excited to announce our very own MSWA Speech Pathologist, Bradley Pang was the winner of the Allied Health Professionals Award for 2026!
Accepting the award on Bradley's behalf was MSWA Client, Elena and members of the team. In an unforgettable evening, Elena gave a deeply moving speech – her words brought to life through an AI-recreated voice, built from video footage recorded more than ten years ago. Bradley was commended for his delivery of high quality, evidence-based services to preserve Elena's voice – both literally and figuratively – ensuring her autonomy, identity and inclusion remain central.
Elena said of Bradley’s support, “What makes Bradley so special is he doesn’t just do his job, he makes you feel comfortable, understood and genuinely heard. Our sessions never felt like typical appointments, they felt like two friends catching up.”
I’m so proud of him and this award couldn't have gone to a more deserving person.”
Finalist
Excellence in Supporting Employment Outcomes
Emily Lee, Leigh McCaffery, Peta Flynn and Deggi Altangerel – MSWA Employment Support Services Team
Our Employment Support Services (ESS) Team were finalists in the Excellence in Supporting Employment Outcomes category. The team was joined by Client, Chris and were celebrated for their work in helping him maintain meaningful employment in a role he deeply values.
The ESS team were able to present a case for Chris to trial the Exopulse Mollii Suit, or what he fondly deems his ‘super suit.’ After a complex funding process, Chris now uses his own Mollii Suit alongside ongoing supports – reducing reliance on mobility aids, enhancing independence and enabling him to continue thriving at work.
As Chris says,
It’s not a cure, but it’s pretty close.”
