Yvette's Story
Learning you have Relapsing-Remitting multiple sclerosis (MS), which has no known cause or cure, at the age of 27, was devastating for Yvette Cocivera.
She was working in her dream job as a vet nurse when she started experiencing vertigo and Optic Neuritis. “After my diagnosis, I was angry and determined that I didn’t need any help, I felt like I was damaged goods.”

Lyndee's Story
After suffering a stroke, Lyndee was living in a nursing home before moving to one of MSWA’s high support accommodation facilities in Fern River. The care and support Lyndee receives now, means she gets to participate in the activities she loves with the people she loves.
“Working with the physio helped with my talking, which is good because I’m a bit of a social butterfly!”
Neil's Story
Neil lives in one of MSWA's high support accommodation facilities. Since moving in, Neil has led a more independent and active social life. And, the 24-hour care gives his parents piece of mind.
Neil’s father says, “He’s out doing different things every day…now if we want to see him we have to make an appointment!”
