Residential Respite

Respite is about taking a break from your everyday routine, or to give your carer a break. We have two purpose built, accessible respite homes; one in City Beach and the other in Treendale, Australind. Most people will book to stay with us for 1-2 weeks.

Our premises are homely and well equipped with home cooked meals.

Staff who are trained and experienced in supporting people living with MS and all neurological conditions, are onsite to provide 24-hour care and support to meet individuals’ needs.

Funding to cover your stay may be available through the Commonwealth Carer Respite Program or through your DSC or NDIS individual package.

We have Residential Respite centres in

  • City Beach – Margaret Doody House
  • Australind – Treendale Gardens

Margaret Doody Respite House

This 5-bedroom house is located in City Beach, close to shopping centres, the beach, and local transport. The facility is fully wheelchair accessible, equipped with all the comforts of home, and offers residents a warm, friendly environment in which to relax and enjoy the quiet surrounds.

Our staff are onsite 24/7 and are experienced in supporting people living with MS and all neurological conditions.

Treendale Gardens (Australind)

Situated at the gateway to WA’s magnificent South West region, Treendale Gardens provides personalised care in a peaceful, back-to-nature setting.

Treendale offers:

  • six individual respite rooms
  • a three-bedroom self-contained family unit.

If you’re a carer needing a break, you can relax knowing your loved one is well cared for. Treendale is a safe, well-equipped residence run by trained staff who understand the needs of people living with neurological conditions.

Or, if you’d like to take a holiday with your loved one, Treendale’s family unit offers everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. Enjoy a break in this home-away-from-home supported by our staff who are on site 24 hours a day.

Next to nature and community

Treendale is located on the edge of a peaceful parkland reserve along the shore of a picturesque lake. With wheelchair-friendly paths meandering through the reserve, the park is available to Treendale residents to explore and enjoy.

Another wheelchair-accessible path leads to the local Junction Shopping Centre, the heart of the Treendale community where you can enjoy a coffee or meal, do a spot of shopping, get a manicure or pedicure or have your hair done.
