WASO announces unique partnership with MSWA

07 February 2019

West Australian Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce a unique new partnership with MSWA for the launch of its 2019 season.

The leading provider of neurological services for people in Western Australia joins forces with the largest performing arts organisation in the state, as the inaugural Supporting Rights partner of the orchestra’s Under 30 Years ticket concession program.

With support from MSWA, WASO will be offering $25 tickets to people below the age of 30 to many of its concerts across the 2019 season, making classical music more accessible to younger generations with substantial savings for both subscriptions and individual concerts.

The partnership between WASO and MSWA recognises a shared commitment to enriching the lives of young people and families through music; creating unique events and better points of access to reach new audiences.

“We are delighted to be partnering with WASO for the 2019 season. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring music into the lives of our community. MSWA supports people living with all neurological conditions and we recognise the benefits that music has on motor and cognitive skills and overall brain health. Increasingly, more and more young people’s lives are being touched by a neurological condition, either by their own diagnosis, or someone close to them being affected. MSWA is proud to be collaborating with another dynamic and iconic Western Australian organisation,” MSWA CEO, Marcus Stafford AM.

“WASO is delighted to be collaborating with MSWA in this exciting new partnership. Both organisations share strong ties to the community and by working together we will be able to make classical music more accessible to younger audiences, ensuring it remains a vibrant and relevant art form for all West Australians.” – Mark Coughlan, Chief Executive Officer – West Australian Symphony Orchestra

WASO and MSWA’s partnership will support WASO’s vision to create a lifelong journey with music for all West Australians.
