Newly Diagnosed

In the same way that MS affects everyone differently, news of a diagnosis can bring on a wide range of emotions.

You may be feeling overwhelmed at the news, fearful for what it could mean, even relief at finally making sense of your symptoms, or angry that this could be happening to you. It is important to understand that there is no ‘right’ way to feel.

Being diagnosed with MS doesn’t have to stop you making the most of your life and planning for your future. Like any challenge, it may require adaptations and strategies for achieving your goals in different ways.

The MSWA website provides basic information, resources and tools to help you understand more about MS and deal with your diagnosis. We suggest you also make contact with our health team who are here to assist you with more tailored information and support. If you would like to make contact or want to provide any feedback, don’t hesitate to contact us.
