About Montario Quarter

Located in the leafy-green suburb of Shenton Park, Montario Quarter will offer long-term, high-support accommodation options, promoting independence in daily lives for West Aussies living with a neurological condition.  

With 20 state-of-the-art apartments, Montario Quarter is an age-appropriate residential care providing an alternative to aged care. MSWA will provide 24-hour care, seven days a week through its dedicated team to ensure top-tier support for all residents, and will be overseen by MSWA's team of allied health and nursing professionals.  

Current Quadriplegic Centre Clients will be prioritised with opportunities for those living with a neurological condition to apply for current vacancies or alternatively, join the wait list below.

Facility details

The facility consists of 20 one-bedroom apartments, seven on the ground floor and 13 situated on level one. Each unit contains a bedroom, ensuite (bathroom), kitchen, living area, and courtyard or balcony. In addition, residents will have access to a range of amenities and facilities.

Services and model of care

Residents will receive 24-hour care on-site, including a manager, assistant coordinator, nursing and trained care support workers.  

MSWA allied health services are available for residents, which includes physiotherapy, exercise physiology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, dietetics and counselling. Services can be provided on-site or at MSWA service hubs, with individual and group sessions available.  

Residents will also have access to clinical equipment sourced by our team that is individualised to their needs. MSWA will coordinate the service and maintenance of the equipment to ensure its longevity.

Who can access the Montario Quarter Accommodation?

Montario Quarter is available to anyone experiencing spinal cord injuries or living with a neurological condition. Whether you need high care facilities or supporting living services in Western Australian, our team is here to help. How large are the apartments, and what facilities are available in each one?

Units are approximately a spacious 95m2 and contain a bedroom, ensuite (bathroom), washer, dryer, kitchen, living area, TV unit, ample storage with either a courtyard or balcony. 

What types of services are available to residents?

Residents have access to our wide range of amenities and facilities, as well as dedicated healthcare support by our clinicians and allied health professionals.  

Can residents host visitors in the residence?

Absolutely! Visiting hours are from 8am - 8pm. There is 24/7 security, CCTV and access control at the facility. 

Can external services provide care to residents?

Yes, external providers can continue to offer social support and other services, while MSWA staff will handle personal care.

I don’t need accommodation yet, can I still put my name down?

Absolutely! Registering with MSWA does not obligate you to move into our care accommodation immediately. You can be placed on a waitlist for when the time is right for you. Additionally, MSWA offers other services that you may find beneficial while you wait.

What types of funding are accepted?

We accept a variety of funding sources, including NDIS SIL, DSOA, and COSA.

Montario Quarter is jointly funded by the Western Australian State Government and MSWA. MSWA gratefully acknowledges the Western Australian State Government financial contribution to the project.
