Healthcare professionals

Referrals

MSWA believes in a productive and collaborative relationship with all health professionals. This includes neurologists, general practitioners, public and private health and hospital services, allied health providers, academic and research institutions.

We welcome enquiries and referrals relating to our extensive network of support, services and residential facilities.

To find out more about making a referral to MSWA:

Call 08 9365 4888 or email customerservice@mswa.org.au

Making a referral

MSWA welcomes self-referral and referrals from health professionals. Although we have a long-history of specialising in multiple sclerosis, we also support people other neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, stroke and motor neurone disease, to name a few.

Many of our referrals come to us via our MSWA Neurological Liaison Nurses who work in the neurological clinics and visit wards within major public hospitals. However, we also receive referrals directly from neurologists, GPs and other health professionals.

If your patient has been diagnosed with a neurological condition, we would be pleased to receive your referral. We will assess if and how we can best meet their needs, whether it be for counselling, allied health services, information or social and support programs.

Some people, or their family members, will self-refer to us and, as long as they have a confirmed diagnosis, we are pleased to meet with them to discuss how we might be able to assist them to make their lives better.
