Pain in MS: What is causing it and how can I manage?
Join our 6-week education series focused on health, exercise, and symptom management for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). Each Thursday from 5-6pm, MSWA Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists will present practical strategies to help you move better and feel stronger.
Pain is a common and often complex symptom experienced by people with MS. This presentation will explain the different types of pain that can occur, including nerve-related and musculoskeletal pain, and will explore the underlying causes. We will also discuss how factors such as biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors can impact the perception of pain. Finally, we’ll cover various approaches and strategies that may help manage pain effectively, aiming to improve comfort and overall quality of life.
This session will be hosted by MSWA Physiotherapist, Emma Pang.
