About Us

MSWA provides vital support and services to people living with neurological conditions in Western Australia. This includes people living with multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, and acquired Brain Injury, to name a few.

MSWA, formerly known as The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Australia, was formed nearly 45 years ago by a group of people with MS committed to helping others access information and support.

Today, MSWA has a team of over 600 staff who all work passionately to provide the best possible care to people right across the metro area and regional centres of Western Australia.

MSWA is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation. The money we raise through our fundraising efforts, government grants and other income generating programs goes directly to providing a range of supports and services to people living with MS, and other neurological conditions.

Our team of experienced nursing and allied health professionals provide information and a range of supports from the time of diagnosis. All MSWA programs are delivered in accordance with both the Disability Service Standards and our own service standards.

In addition to our direct care services, we also provide funding for vital research projects to find the cause, and cure, for MS and a range of neurological conditions.

MSWA plays a vital role in educating the broader community, liaising with government and other relevant bodies on related issues, and advocating for the rights of all people with MS, other neurological conditions and disability in general.

Vision - to be the leading service organisation for people with MS and the service provider of choice for NDIS participants with both MS and other neurological conditions in WA.

Purpose - to support people living with all neurological conditions; to advocate for change and to find cures.

Values - Professionalism, teamwork, service and respect
