28,261 books read in WA for MS Readathon

09 September 2020

The MS Readathon is over for another year!

The national amount raised was a record breaking $3.12 million!

In Western Australia, our 5,198 participants read a whopping 28,261 books and raised $315,000.

Congratulations to Wembley Primary School, the top WA school for fundraising and made the ‘Top 10 Schools’ nationally.

A special mention goes to Beenyup Primary School. 76 students – which is nearly half the school – participated and raised an incredible $3,785 between them.

The MS Readathon inspires kids (and now adults, too!) to read as much as they can for the month of August, all for an incredible cause.

Funds raised in WA go towards special MSWA Family Camps and Fun Days, where kids who have a parent living with a neurological condition get to spend quality time with their family, learn more about the condition and bond with other kids whose parents have a neurological condition.

Thank you to the generous friends and family who sponsored our participants. And congratulations to all the superstar readers – young and old – who took part and helped raise a record amount!
