MS is the most common degenerative neurological condition diagnosed in young adults and overall doesn’t generally shorten ones’ lifespan; thus living with MS is a long-term relationship.

The unpredictable, variable nature of MS and its almost individual impact can be a cause of concern, and sometimes distress, for many. However, as with many other chronic conditions there are many positive steps you can take to maximize your overall health and well being and reduce the risk of other health problems common to all of us.

A healthy mind and body are essential for one’s general health and wellbeing. Coming to terms with the diagnosis and making recommended lifestyle changes can have a positive impact on your general health but in particular assist with managing your MS.

There are many ways in which we can all improve our overall health and reduce the risk of other chronic diseases, for example diabetes and heart disease which have a significant impact onthe whole community. We all know them but often don’t employ them!
