About Us

The MS Society of WA is a non-government, not-for-profit,  state-based organisation dedicated to supporting people with multiple sclerosis (MS).

As an organisation we aim to support not only people with MS but also their families and carers through the provision of a range of supports and services.

Our team of experienced nursing and allied health professionals provide information and a range of supports for people affected by MS from the time of diagnosis. The team also provide MS specific education and information about MS for staff working in the hospitals and for other community based providers.

In addition, the Society plays a vital role in educating the broader community about the disease, liaising with government and other relevant bodies on MS-related issues and advocating for the rights of all people with MS and others with disabilities.

The Society currently operates Outreach Groups in several centres from locations in Wilson, Beechboro, Rockingham, City Beach, Bunbury and Albany.

Access to our supports and services are free to financial Members of the Society.

The Society also manages its own fundraising program from its office in Wilson. Funds raised through these initiatives, as well as government grants and other income generating programs, fund the supply of services to Members and contribute towards research to find a cure.

Eight of the fourteen positions on the Society’s Board of Management are elected from the Society’s membership.
