Bunbury Outreach Group

The MS Society has relocated the local Outreach Group, which operates on Wednesdays, to the Eaton Recreation Centre.  Members from the Bunbury and Busselton areas attend.
It is essential that prior assessment and referral to the group is arranged through the SW Community Nurse 0408 952 363.  This ensures that the necessary requirements for the individual can be met and reduces overcrowding. 

Services available at this location include:

• Access to the main gym: a reduction fees has been negotiated with the management and recreational staff are aware of MS specific needs.
• The physiotherapist is in attendance and can conducts assessments and develop individual plans and programs.  Limited physiotherapy is provided on site for Members. Access to these services must be pre-arranged through the SW Community Nurse 0408 952 363 or the Physiotherapy Manager on 9365 4834.  For further information click here.
• Massage:  an important service for members, is subsidised by our fundraising and available at a significantly reduced cost to financial Members.  Please contact Physiotherapy Manager on 9365 4834 for more information.
• Outreach Group: partly funded by the Disability Services Commission, these groups run on Wednesdays and  provide socialisation, recreation and some other  opportunities (including guest speakers and occasional outings)  with morning tea in a supported environment. • The SW Community Access Nurse attends most of the sessions and can make appointments to see those Members already attending the group, in private during the session.
